    Alteration & Addition

For this four-storey terrace conversion in Glebe, the client had already acquired architectural plans and DA approval before engaging The Site Foreman. Our brief included detailed specification and documentation of all internal areas, development and documentation of the detailed scope of works, conduct the tender management process and project management of the works through to completion.

It was important to the client that as many of the original features and materials be retained and reused. House to Home Finishes were engaged to provide interior design services and ensured that the ornate ceilings were kept where possible, the original floor boards re-used and the fireplaces re-instated. The complete interiors scope included colour palate throughout, bathrooms and kitchen selections and associated fittings and appliances.

The steepness of the block presented some challenges and heavily dictated the program to ensure no delays. The structural engineering works were arranged in support of the design and budget, good management and planning was key to its success. The feature staircase was the most challenging part of the interior, an engineering and manufacturing feat to ensure just the right amount of flex though without bounce.
