NSW HomeBuilder Program Extended to 2021
This weekend the NSW Government delivered some important and exciting information regarding the NSW Government’s HomeBuilder program.
As you may have heard, the current HomeBuilder program is due to finish at the end of the year, however, this program will now be extended to the 31st March 2021 at a lower rate of $15,000.
The extended program provides eligible owner-occupiers with a grant of $15,000 to use towards building a new home or substantially renovating their existing home.
This is a valuable initiative from the government and it would be beneficial for you to consider applying for this if you are still in the process of designing and building, provided that you meet the following eligibility criteria:
- You are a natural person (not a company or trust)
- You are aged 18 years or older
- You are an Australian citizen
- You enter into a building contract by the 31st March 2021
- You meet one of the following two income caps:
- $125,000 per annum for an individual applicant based on your 2018-19 taxable income or later; or
- $200,000 per annum for a couple based on both 2018-19 taxable income or later.
