Major renovation and extension

The clients requested a blend of old and new in this older semi-detached dwelling.  The goal was to maintain original features of the home like the ornate ceilings whilst incorporating a contemporary feel throughout.  The site posed some challenges like no street parking and poor access, these were worked through and overcome by experienced project management skills.  Introducing storage was important to the client, so the architect designed storage panels cleverly hidden in walls.  The common wall roof top was pushed up, allowing additional natural light to spill through custom design windows.  Electrically operated, these windows open at a push of a button to allow much needed ventilation through the semi.
